Lake Gaston
Lake Gaston is a 20,000-acre lake with more than 350 miles of shoreline offering a wide variety of water sports, including wake surfing and wake boarding schools, boating, fishing and vacation home rentals. With virtually pollution-free water quality, the lake is highly rated for its cleanliness and superiority for swimming and therefore a popular spot for locals and tourists alike
For the adventure seekers, motor boating, sailing, tubing, water skiing and jet skiing are all at your fingertips. Public boat ramps are available, and marinas are scattered around the shoreline, offering gas and supplies as well as lakeside dining.
The lake is well stocked with game fish, which include striped bass or rockfish, largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish and several varieties of catfish. Other species of fish sometimes caught are walleye, yellow perch and chain pickerel. Be on the lookout for fishing tournaments throughout the season.
