Will Mahone, the president of Halifax Regional, likes calling North Carolina home, although he has spent much of his career in Virginia. He graduated from Elon University and earned his Master’s degree in Health Administration from Duke University. When at Elon he met and married Bonnie, who is a native of the Burlington area. Bonnie and Will have two children. Their son Will is a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps., and Anna, who is a senior at the University of Virginia. Bonnie and Will enjoy living here in the Roanoke Valley, especially the friendly people and the countryside. “I am very interested in serving on the Tourism board to learn more about the attractions in our region," said Mahone. "We are blessed with abundant natural resources and outdoor activities that should attract people and investment to strengthen our local economy.” |
