Crepe Myrtle Festival

23rd  Annual Crepe Myrtle Festival

The Town of Scotland Neck will be celebrating its 23rd Annual Crepe Myrtle Festival on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. This annual festival has been bringing the community and visitors together for many years. One of the most unique parts of Scotland Neck, besides center street parking, is the beautiful row of Crepe Myrtle trees on Main Street. The festival is held on the grassy Town Commons of Scotland Neck at 1310 Main Street.

The Crepe Myrtle Festival Planning Committee is currently seeking local entertainment to fill the entire day.  Individuals, church groups, local bands and school groups are encouraged to contact Elaine Mills at the Town Hall.

Vendor applications are currently being accepted. The cost for local vendors is $25 and $50 for out of town vendors. This fee will secure a 20ft x 20ft. space. Vendor fees are non-refundable. The application deadline is July 15th.  Information booths and fundraiser groups are welcome. Artists and craftsmen are encouraged to participate.

Please join the town in celebrating Good Food, Good Folks, & Good Times at the Annual Crepe Myrtle Festival. You may also take the opportunity to learn about the many outdoor adventures that makes Scotland Neck “An Outdoor Paradise”.
